The Pesidente Alan Garcia, said this afternoon that Mexico is a strong ally in Peru and the countries that signed the Pacific Agreement, to be signed tomorrow, her vocation as "country driver" in the region.
During an appearance before reporters with President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, at the Government Palace, García Pérez considered that the Agreement Pacific is a "historic event" because it is a "new model of integration" for the identity of democratic principles, political and economic.
In this regard, said that agreement means a "new version of integration" of the 21 century, in which Mexico will play an important role.
"Mexico is a strong ally by the strength of its companies, the power of their agriculture and their vocation, thanks to its size, country, conductor, is a solid ally in Peru, Chile, Colombia, and for other countries to be integrated into what we called a deep integration agreement, "he said.
President Garcia and his Mexican counterpart, who met for over an hour and a half at the Government Palace, signed an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation between both countries.
